Beat Rising Renovation Costs with Priority Pricing

Before and After Basement Renovation by Visture Property Group

If you've been thinking about renovating your kitchen, finishing your basement, or updating your bathroom, you've probably noticed something frustrating: the longer you wait, the more it costs.

Renovation costs in Canada rose again in early 2025, with Statistics Canada's Residential Renovation Price Index showing steady quarter-over-quarter increases driven by labour, materials, and contractor availability. For homeowners in the Peterborough region, this isn't news — it's something you feel every time you get a quote that's higher than the one you got six months ago.

That's exactly why we created the Visture Priority Pricing Program (PPP).

What Is the Visture Priority Pricing Program?

The Priority Pricing Program is a simple offer for homeowners who are planning a renovation but want to be smart about timing and cost. Here's how it works:

You commit to your project now — we lock in your price, apply a program discount, and slot your renovation into our build schedule. You get certainty on cost and a confirmed start date. We get the ability to plan our team's workload efficiently, which is how we're able to pass the savings back to you.

The trade-off is straightforward: you need to be a little flexible on your exact start date. Not indefinitely — we're talking weeks, not months. But that flexibility is what makes the whole program possible.

Why Renovation Costs Keep Rising (And Why Waiting Costs You Money)

Most homeowners assume they can wait until they're "really ready" to start getting quotes. The problem is that by the time you feel ready, the price has already moved.

There are a few reasons renovation costs in Ontario keep climbing:

  • Labour availability. Skilled tradespeople — carpenters, tile setters, electricians, plumbers — are in high demand across the region. When contractors are busy, they price accordingly. When you're competing with other homeowners for the same crew, you lose negotiating power.
  • Material costs. Lumber, drywall, cabinetry, and flooring prices fluctuate with supply chains and tariffs. Locking in a quote today means you're protected from price increases that happen between now and your project start date.
  • Contractor scheduling. The best contractors book out months in advance. If you want quality work, you need to be in the schedule — and getting into the schedule requires a commitment.

The PPP addresses all three of these problems at once.

Who Is the PPP For?

The Priority Pricing Program is designed for homeowners planning a renovation with a budget roughly in the $5,000 to $25,000 range, though there's no hard minimum or maximum. If you're thinking about any of the following, the PPP is worth a conversation:

  • Kitchen updates — new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring
  • Bathroom renovations — tile, vanity, fixtures, layout changes
  • Basement finishing — framing, drywall, flooring, lighting, egress
  • Flooring replacement — hardwood, LVP, tile throughout the home
  • General interior renovations — painting, trim, built-ins, feature walls

You don't need to have every detail figured out. You just need to know roughly what you want to do and have a realistic sense of your budget.

How We Can Offer a Discount When Everyone Else Is Raising Prices

The PPP isn't a gimmick. It's a logistical solution to a very real problem in the construction industry: scheduling gaps.

In construction, "downtime" is expensive. If a crew finishes a kitchen on a Tuesday and the next project doesn't start until the following Monday, those three days of downtime cost the company money. Contractors typically price their quotes to absorb the cost of that inevitable downtime.

The Priority Pricing Program flips that model.

By asking you for flexibility on your start date, you allow us to slot your project into those gaps. If we have a crew available in late October instead of early October, the result is the same beautiful kitchen. The flexibility is what allows us to keep our team productive, reduce idle time between projects, and pass those savings directly to you.

What Homeowners Are Saying

Don't take our word for it. Here's what Visture clients have said about working with our team:

"Visture was professional, on time, and the quality of work was excellent. They communicated clearly throughout the entire project and the finished result exceeded our expectations."
— Gwen B., Peterborough
"From the initial quote to the final walkthrough, the team was responsive and the work was done right. I've already recommended them to two neighbours."
— Mark T., Peterborough region
"I was nervous about starting a renovation after hearing horror stories from friends. Visture made the whole process easy. Clear pricing, no surprises, and a great result."
— Patrick C., Peterborough

How to Get Started

Getting started with the PPP takes less than five minutes. Here's the process:

  1. Submit your quote request at visture.ca/ppp. Tell us what you're planning, your approximate budget, and when you're hoping to start.
  2. We'll follow up within one business day to discuss your project, answer questions, and confirm whether the PPP is a good fit.
  3. We'll send you a locked-in quote with the program discount applied.
  4. Your project gets slotted into the schedule and you get a confirmed start date.

There's no obligation at the quote stage. If the program isn't the right fit for your project, we'll tell you honestly — and we'll still do our best to help you plan your renovation the right way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a minimum budget to qualify for the PPP?
No. While most PPP projects fall in the $5,000–$25,000 range, there's no hard minimum. If you have a smaller project and you're flexible on timing, it's worth asking.
How flexible do I need to be on timing?
We typically ask for a window of a few weeks around your preferred start date. We'll always confirm the actual date with you before finalizing anything.
Does the price lock include materials?
Yes. Your locked-in quote covers both labour and materials as scoped. If you make changes to the scope after signing, those changes are priced separately.
What areas do you serve?
Visture serves Peterborough and the surrounding region, including Lakefield, Selwyn, Norwood, and nearby communities. Not sure if you're in our service area? Ask us — we'll let you know.
How long does the program discount last?
PPP pricing is available on a rolling basis, but spots are limited by our build schedule. Once our schedule fills for a given period, we may pause new PPP enrolments until capacity opens up.

Ready to Lock In Your Price?

If you've been putting off your renovation because of cost uncertainty, the PPP is designed specifically for you. Prices aren't going down. Contractor availability isn't getting easier. The best time to lock in your renovation is before the next price increase — and that's exactly what the Priority Pricing Program lets you do.
