8 October, 2015

Here’s an email a client sent to us the day she saw her new home. She moved from out east and rented the place sight unseen.

How exciting to see your very craftsmanship based work….there has to be a designer in your family.

Here’s what l love:
. the floors are dynamic, great colour and exceptionally well laid

. high baseboards look great

. high ceilings… very nice

. bathroom is big and cute cute cute…that mirror is stunning

. kitchen is top end, appliances are great. cabinets striking too

. love the window light and yet private

. back yard choice is the best- the stone wall very private and with deck it will be lovely ( JG great suggestion)

. room space feels much larger than pictures, great open design that l personally really enjoy

. bedrooms are huge and closets the best

. love my garage so l can come and go easily in winter weather

.driveway for a family…is great too

So Mike, satisfied is not the word to express how l feel. Exceptionally happy, or delighted is better.

I do need your assistance, as you suggested the deck is in progress, will be great.

JG said scratches in front of dishwasher was in process to be fixed…there is another one out in front of fridge.( you may want to look at it too) I washed the floor because of the dust and removed paint dots… pretty normal stuff for a new build.

The cabinet between stove and fridge is a little small as you suggested. You need to know all the cubbords are very clean…great pride in the trades people who put them in.

The hot water tank needs to be turned up..Luke warm water only. I don’t know where it is. I did check the power panel  in garage and one was off…hard to read itinerary of what fits what! But turned one button on. That one matters to me.

I’m working on the thermostat… Think we are getting in sync. Manual was helpful.

Mike the garage door is not connected to electrical in ceiling, if you can get someone to connect that and program that l would be grateful. Not urgent.

An update on garbage would be helpful as l now am on that track with packing materials. When is pick up…and do you do blue bags for recycling and dark bags for garbage? Can l take to a dump

We have great training in Nova Scotia where recycling and organics and paper are all separate. Lol

Movers land tomorrow, met young woman beside me, seems friendly and excited too about her new home. Will be nice to meet her little girl. You pick well.

Thank you for the FANTASTIC welcome basket, how very thoughtful, and so fun. Orange ribbon very pretty.

I’m very happy to be here, well happier when my furniture arrives tomorrow. Pretty tired too.  Good night.

Best regards,
Susan & Callie ( my dog)
